Youth Services Department * Special Programs
One of the special programs at the Plymouth Public Library is Jen Kane’s American Reading Adventure, which has been developed with a donation from the Jen Kane Scholarship and Charitable Trust which provides scholarships, endowments and donations to charitable foundations in memory of Jen Kane, a Plymouth native who lost her life in the World Trade Center on September 11th. Jen Kane’s American Reading Adventure is inspired by Jen’s love of her country.
For the 2018-2019 season, we are pleased to introduce expanded programming to include our teen population. This year, we will be hosting performers and events that highlight various aspects of American history and culture for children and teens. At the conclusion of each program, participants may select a free book intended to supplement what they’ve learned! We will have books at various reading levels to suit the needs of a wide range of ages. In the spring, we will host a Family Trivia Night to celebrate and share highlights from the year.
Our currently scheduled events are listed below. Open programs will have an active link to the event to view age limits and registration forms.
