Library Services:  FAQs

Following the guidelines of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioner and the Governor’s orders, the library is currently open for visits by appointment – follow this link for more information about booking your time to visit.. All visitors over the age of 2 are required to wear masks while in the library. Per order of Governor Baker, face masks are now required at all times in all public settings, which includes outdoor visits for curbside delivery.  All visitors entering the building will also have their temperature scanned and be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entry. Social distancing protocols are required.

Have you been notified that the items you placed on hold are ready for you to pick up? Although no appointment is necessary for curbside delivery in the parking lot, new guidelines require that all visitors must make an appointment to enter the building. Please fill out the form for the time you plan to come if you wish to pick up your holds inside. Upon arrival, please check in with the greeter and then proceed to the Circulation Desk where staff will assist you.

Please continue to use the book drop at the Main Library and at the Manomet Branch to return all items. If jammed, please try again another time.  DO NOT leave items outside.

See the FAQ’s below for a complete description of the services which we are currently able to offer.  Please note:  at this time we are NOT able to offer the public use of our meeting rooms, most seating, children’s and teens’ games and toys, and in-person technology assistance (including personal devices as well as on the public computers). We remain closed on Sundays.

The hours for curbside holds pickup:
Main Library: Monday – Friday 10am – 12 noon and Saturday 10am – 12 noon and 2pm -4pm
Branch: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 9am – 4pm and Thursday 1pm – 4pm.  For details, please follow this link.
