Library Services: FAQs

Library Services:  FAQs

Beginning on Monday, March 22, 2021, library hours for browsing and holds pickup are being expanded to include morning hours on Tuesday and Thursday and afternoon hours on Friday and Saturday.

If you are visiting to use a computer or scanner, to visit the Children’s Room, or to visit the History Room, you must still make an appointment in advance – please follow this link for more information.

Before you make an appointment to visit us, please be aware that at this time we are NOT able to offer the public use of our meeting rooms, spaces for tutoring, most seating, children’s and teens’ games and toys, and in-person technology assistance (including help with personal devices as well as on the public computers).

It is mandatory to wear a mask at all times while in the building. Please use hand sanitizer upon arrival and observe social distancing while visiting.

Have you been notified that the items you placed on hold are ready for you to pick up? We are continuing to do curbside holds pick-up, Monday through Saturday – follow this link for details.

Please continue to use the book drop at the Main Library and at the Manomet Branch to return all items. If jammed, please try again another time.  DO NOT leave items outside.

See the FAQ’s below for a complete description of the services which we are currently able to offer.  Please note:  at this time we are NOT able to offer the public use of our meeting rooms, most seating, children’s and teens’ games and toys, and in-person technology assistance (including personal devices as well as on the public computers). We remain closed on Sundays.

Effective Monday, March 22, 2021, the hours for curbside holds pickup are:
Main Library: Monday – Thursday 10am – 12 noon and 2pm -4pm; Friday and Saturday 10am – 12 noon.
Branch: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 9am – 4pm and Thursday 1pm – 4pm.
