The Plymouth Public Library aims to promote community engagement and teamwork through a local Fixit Clinic. Fixit Clinic “conveys basic disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair skills using peoples’ own broken things as the vehicle. By sharing these skills while transferring them to others we teach critical thinking through the lens of our relationship to consumption and sustainability. We strive to demystify science and technology so that we can ultimately make better policy choices as a society.”

But we need help! We are seeking volunteers to assist with the repair efforts of the Fixit clinic. If you are a handywoman or handyman, fixer, tinkerer, or sewer, we would like to have you at the event to assist with the learning & teaching processes. If you have an interest in volunteering for a future event, please visit this link to learn more and to sign-up.

Additional information on Fixit Clinics can be found at this link.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with sustainability efforts in your community while forming connections with your neighbors. We look forward to working together with a motivated group!
