The First Plymouth Area Community Health & Wellness Fair takes place at the Library on Saturday, September 28th from 10:30 - 2:00. (Rain or Shine). Over 15 providers are slated to attend including the South Shore Community Partners in Prevention, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth (which, assuming vaccine availability, is providing free flu shots), Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth (which will provide dental screenings for kids), the Plymouth County Extension, UV-Ray Screenings for kids from the Children's Melanoma Foundation, and many more.
This is a family event! There will be fun activities for children, and three mini-sessions for adults and seniors on health related topics. Food and beverages will be available, including delicious brewed coffee from The Jolly Bean Cafe.
Funding for this event comes from the South Shore Community Partners in Prevention (CHNA-23) Health Literacy grant. This project is also funded in part by the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Cooperative Agreement Number UG4LM012347 with the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester.
