Celebrating NASA’s 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s Historic Moon Landing

We have two upcoming programs to commemorate the moon landing anniversary!

Join us on Monday, July 15th at 4:00 in the Meeting Room when we will air a Live Webcast Event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission. This live webcast, brought to you by the American Museum of Natural History, will feature a guided recreation of the Apollo 11 voyage – the space-flight that landed the first two astronauts on the Moon.

Where were you when Apollo 11 landed on the moon? If you can remember that day, please join us on Saturday, July 20th at 3:30 for our “Eagle Has Landed Social Event” – we are looking for stories and memories from those who witnessed the landing! Join us for an afternoon of sharing recollections, photos, memorabilia, and history! All are welcome! Original photos and documents will be scanned and returned to you, so bring anything you’d like to add to a scrapbook of Apollo 11 memories! Not available this day? Email [email protected] to share your memories for our scrapbook.
