Memories Series Goes To Boston

Our Memories Series goes to Boston this year, with familiar music, colorful cinematic footage, and a culinary sampling of classic favorites such as Clam Chowder, Baked Beans, Brown Bread, and more. Registration is now open for our meeting on Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 focusing on sights, sounds, and taste.

The program will feature music and films from the library’s collection and culinary samplings from library staff and chef Erica from Plymouth Senior Living by Sunrise.  Places of natural beauty such as Mt. Auburn Cemetery, the Boston Public Garden, Jamaica Pond, The Esplanade along the Charles River, Castle Island, the Boston Harbor Islands all offer picturesque images and amazing vistas–both urban and bucolic. Combined with music from Boston connected composers, Boston-themed film scores and the unique sounds of the Boston Pops, the 50 minute production is sure to inspire and bring back memories. A buffet of tastings will follow.

This free Seniors program is sponsored through The Plymouth Public Library Corporation. Registration is required. For more information call Tom Cummiskey, Outreach/Senior Services Librarian, at 508-830-4250 or TTY 508-747-5882 or email [email protected]
