A Gullwing at Twilight: Film & Discussion

Join us on Saturday, October 13th at 10:30 in the Meeting Room for a film and discussion led by Cape Cod filmmaker, Chris Swedo.

A Gullwing at Twilight tells the story of car racing legend, John Fitch, who at age 87 takes on a new challenge: attempting a land speed record on Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats. As reviewed by Autoweek Magazine: “A Gullwing at Twilight explores Fitch the man, whose reputation as the consummate gentleman racer persists. The power of this film lies not in reliving the past, but rather in its focus on Fitch continually challenging himself, and our outdated notions of what elderly persons can accomplish. Racing, people, and nature unite in this thoughtful documentary.”

The film is 55 minutes and will be followed by a discussion.
