Sailing enthusiasts, lovers of being out on the open seas, come to the exciting Plymouth premiere of the film Sense the Wind: Blind Sailors Race Across Open Water on Thursday, June 29th at 10:30 AM. We are very excited to be joined by producer and director, Christine Knowlton, who will be here for a post film discussion.
This 55 minute documentary shows us blind sailors race across open water, learning not to fear what cannot be seen – on boats or on land. They compete despite risk, trusting an image of the racecourse in the mind’s eye. Yet life is as unpredictable as the wind. Between seasons, one gains something far different than a trophy, and must learn afresh to live, sail and to lead with a new sensibility. A truly compelling film for all the senses, closed captioning and descriptive video.
