The Town of Plymouth’s No Place For Hate Committee will present a public forum on the topic of immigration and sanctuary cities on Sunday, May 21st from 2:00 to 4:00 in the Otto Fehlow Meeting Room.
Featured speaker is Boston City Councilor Josh Zakim (son of Leonard Zakim), who introduced the Sanctuary City Bill in 2014 and garnered the support of all 13 Councilors and the Mayor of Boston. He will address Boston’s experience as a sanctuary city, what the impact of this status has been since 2014, how the system and the Boston Police Department work, and the Safe Communities Act.
This program is free and open to the public. Following the talk, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.
