Does morality depend upon free will? We do not control the kind of universe we live in, nor who our parents are or how we were raised. Conversely, we are confident that we are in control of some of our intentions, decisions, and actions.
Is the world and everything in it, including everything about ourselves, totally determined by our environment and genetic inheritance or do we have free will to make decisions and freely act on them?
To explore these questions, join us on Tuesday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 16 between 6:30 and 8:30 pm for a workshop led by Murray C. Cion, MD, a board certified psychiatrist (retired) who served on the staff at McLean Hospital and as an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and Gerald N. Matross, Ph.D, emeritus professor of philosophy at Merrimac College.
