Do you want a Kindle or a Roku? Check one out!

kindleWe are now lending Kindle e-readers and Roku streaming players!

The Library has two newer model Kindle Touch e-readers, as well as two older model Kindle Keyboard e-readers. The devices will circulate empty; patrons can log onto the Library’s website to download e-books for free. Instructions are included with each device on how to register to an Amazon account, and also (for when you are finished), how to erase your information from the device.  To request a Kindle, search the library catalog for “Kindle ebook reader.”

We also have two Roku Streaming Players. A Roku is a small black box that allows a person to watch digital streaming movies from the Internet on their television. By attaching the Roku to a television and then connecting the device to a wi-fi network, patrons can watch the Library’s collection of digital movies. A patron must have wi-fi at home in order to use the device. The Library currently has a collection of over 50 digital movies including Birdman, Big Hero 6, Gone Girl, and Divergent.  For more information, click here.
