Summer Is Coming!

Save the date:  June 17th:  Family Fun Day, Summer Solstice Book Sale, Plymouth Reads Kickoff.  There are all sorts of great activities planned for this summer at Plymouth Public Library!

This summer, the  summer library program theme is "Build a Better World."  What better time to explore other worlds, in fantasy and history?  Plymouth Reads this summer will be offering you the choice of two different books.  Fans of fantasy (and of the HBO television show) can sign up for a free copy of the first book in George R. R. Martin's series Song of Fire and Ice, Game of Thrones.  At the same time, we will also be considering building a better world, one throne at a time - notable monarchs through history.   Fans of historical fiction can sign up for a free copy of Daisy Goodwin's dramatization of the life of Queen Victoria, Victoria.

You can get started reading now!  Free books will be given out on a first come, first serve basis; you can choose whichever suits you, or if you have the time and ambition, both!  Sign-up here.  The books have arrived and can be picked up at the Main Library beginning on Monday, May 15th.

We will also be updating the website with more information about all the exciting activities to come, so be sure to check back for full details as summer approaches.

The Summer Library Program is sponsored by the Plymouth Public Library, the Plymouth Public Library Corporation, and the Dr. Richard M. Shiff Forum.
