Programs for Older Children

Quidditch in the Garden

We hold several once-a-month programs for school-aged children (ages 5-11). Most of these programs require registration and all of them are held once a month at the Main Library, unless otherwise noted. 

 

® Lego Fun at the Libray ages 8 to 12. | Come spend an afternoon using your imagination to design and build with Lego bricks! The program is free and registration is required as space will be limited. Registration will be begin two weeks before each session.

One Saturday a month, 2:00 - 4:00. January 21, February 18, March 18, April 15, May 13.

® Saturday Science | ages 7-10 | This program will explore different topics about science and its impact on our everyday lives. The program is free and registration is required as space will be limited. Registration will be begin two weeks before each program.

One Saturday a month, 10:30 - 11:15.  January 21, February 18, March 18, April 15, May 13.

 

® A Window to the World Book Group | ages 9-11 | This book group is for children ages nine to eleven, and meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm from January through May. Each meeting, we will discuss a book that embraces diversity and aimed to give the reader a glimpse of a world outside their own. Registration is necessary and will begin two weeks before each meeting date.

One Tuesday a month, 6:30 - 7:15. January 31, February 28, March 28, April 25, and May 30.
