Top 100 Best Children’s Titles of 2017

Presented by Robert Zupperoli
Children’s Literature Specialist
Saturday, November 25th at 2:00PM
Main Libary Fehlow Meeting Room

Come and learn about this year’s best books as they are being considered for the Caldecott and Newbury awards announced in January, 2018. Robert Zupperoli will lead us through an extensive list; there are so many wonderful books being published, it’s hard not to feature them all! This program will answer the question – “What titles are best to give as Christmas presents to our children?”

Zupperoli’s literary experience includes working with HarperCollins, Random House Children’s Books, and Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers writing curriculum and education guides.  He has also reviewed books for School Library Journal.  He is a member of the American Library Association.  His work with the Association for Library Services to Children makes him well suited to discuss the best new books.  Copies of his extensive list will be provided at the program and he will highlight selected titles for the audience.

Anyone who buys books for children (parents and grandparents, teachers, librarians), circle this date on your calendar!  Books will be available for purchase at the conclusion of the program.  You can view the list of his recommendations from last year by following these links:  Best Picture BooksChapter Books, and Non-Fiction.

This program is free and no registration is necessary.
