Basic Education Classes – New Student Orientation

It’s time to get serious about those New Year’s Resolutions.  If you or someone you know needs to complete your high school education, what better resolution could there be than to get to work on your GED?  We can help – for FREE!

Each month, the Library offers a three-hour New Student Orientation session for people interested in enrolling in our free education classes.  The date for the our next session is January 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Main Library.  No registration necessary. 508-830-4260

We offer 3 levels of classes. We will place you in the best class for your skill level.  We want you to be successful! Complete information on the locations, days, and times can be found here.

All classes and materials are FREE! In return, we ask that you are present at all class sessions for the full 3-4 hours per class. We have open enrollment each month. Students move up through the classes levels until they are ready to test. The amount of time it takes to go through the program is different for every individual.

What to Expect

You will meet with your instructor and a small group of learners who are working to improve their reading, writing, social studies, science, and math skills.

In addition, all students meet with the Educational and Career Advisor who teaches strategies for meeting education and career goals.

All students also meet with the Technology Coordinator to work on technology skills necessary for college and careers.
