Now on Display

Celebrating 300 years

Memorabilia from Plymouth’s 300th anniversary celebration of the arrival of the Pilgrims is now available to view in the display case on the second floor at the Main Library.  A sampling from our collection of historic photos taken by Edward P. McLaughlin is on display, as well as items on loan from Plymouth’s 1749 Courthouse Collection. Artifacts include the baton which the Marshall of the Grand Parade carried on August 1, 1921, when a crowd estimated at 100,000 gathered to join in the festivities.

The Library’s collection of the Tercentenary Celebration Photographs has been digitized and can be viewed online here.
